Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Real Estate Litigation Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate-related disputes and the ability to handle sophisticated litigation matters independently and as part of a team. Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in commercial real estate disputes, including lease and contract litigation, partnership disputes, construction claims, property ownership issues, landlord-tenant matters, and title disputes.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, trials, and appeals.
- Appear in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
- Draft complex legal documents including briefs, memoranda, and settlement agreements.
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk management, and potential outcomes.
- Work closely with partners, associates, and support staff in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
- Minimum 4–8 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably with a focus on real estate-related matters.
- Strong understanding of New York real estate law, court procedures, and commercial leasing.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience managing complex case files and interacting directly with clients.
- Trial experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, business-oriented mindset.
