About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Contracts Manager to lead our contract management function and support our company’s growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional with a contracts and/or paralegal background and deep experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and policies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can anticipate potential legal and operational risks, and brings a collaborative, solutions-driven approach to managing contractual relationships. This person will also oversee and develop a team of insurance and compliance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management & Review
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate contracts including MSAs, NDAs, service-level agreements (SLAs), and internal policies.
- Ensure that contracts reflect company standards, align with strategic goals, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate potential legal, business, and operational risks.
- Policy and Compliance Oversight
- Maintain and update company policies and templates in accordance with legal changes, company needs, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with company standards and contract obligations.
- Risk Management
- Evaluate vendor/customer agreements for risk exposure, particularly around liability, indemnification, and termination clauses.
- Work with internal teams to develop mitigation strategies and ensure appropriate protections are in place.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of insurance reviewers and compliance analysts.
- Ensure team delivers timely, accurate, and business-aligned support across the organization.
- Build and implement scalable processes to support the company’s continued growth.
- Process Improvement & Strategy
- Establish best practices.
- Partner with internal departments to streamline workflows and optimize contract turnaround times.
- Support due diligence and integration activities for strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
- Special Projects as Assigned
- Accept additional responsibilities or projects as needed.
- Provide assistance to others within & outside department as necessary due to business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; contract management and paralegal certification strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in contract review, drafting, and negotiation, preferably in a legal, compliance, or contracts management role.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and process improvements.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong understanding of contract law, negotiation techniques, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a fast-growing or scaling company is highly desirable.
