This latest opening will be synonymous with sophistication, glamour, breathtaking artwork, and cultural trendsetting. This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.

Job Description

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, suites, and assigned public areas to Faena’s luxury standards. This role contributes directly to the guest experience by ensuring rooms are immaculate, well-stocked, and welcoming. Room Attendants are stewards of quality and play a key role in upholding the visual identity and reputation of Faena New York.

This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation rate of $30.00 per hour.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean guest rooms and suites following the established procedures and standards.
  • Adhere to the established standard of safety, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.
  • Able to utilize PMS/App to be advised of assignments and/or any computerized applications.
  • Comply with Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Complete work assignments from the Housekeeping Department as assigned using required keys, equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Remove all garbage and recyclable items and place in the appropriate bins inside the service area.
  • Offer assistance to any guest in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Maintain proper and clean uniform and grooming standards.
  • Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery, etc., as needed.
  • Prepares assigned rooms for turndown guests.
  • Clean and maintain all terraces of the hotel.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in occupied rooms, turndown rooms and check-out rooms as assigned.
  • Clean and maintain the main guest entrance area and adjacent plaza area including but not limited to removal of cigarette butts, trash, snow, leaves etc.
  • Comply with any additional requests that may arise pertaining to Housekeeping duties.
  • Report to work on time. Is aware of the schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notifies the Supervisor in adequate time as per Faena policy.
  • Adhere to meal break policy and proper payroll procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in luxury hotel housekeeping preferred.

  • Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must be detail-oriented and quality-driven.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).

  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines for room assignments.

  • Friendly, respectful, and guest-oriented demeanor.

  • Strong communication with colleagues and supervisors.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas

  • Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces

  • Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift

  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
