PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Albany NY 12205 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $68.40/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Overnight (7 On / 7 Off) | 9p to 7a
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist will provide clinical guidance on medication use, side effects, and interactions while collaborating with healthcare staff to resolve drug-related issues. The role also includes supervising pharmacy support staff, preparing compounded or sterile medications, and managing inventory in a closed-door long-term care setting.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dispense and verify prescription medications with accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
- Monitor patient medication compliance, usage trends, and safety concerns.
- Maintain secure and confidential patient and pharmacy records.
- Provide patient and provider consultation on medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage.
- Offer patient support services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices (e.g., glucose meters, BP monitors).
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
- Manage medication and supply inventory.
- Identify and help resolve medication-related issues by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Active New York Pharmacist License
- Previous experience in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Comfortable working independently in an overnight role
