Job DescriptionPharmacy Liaison (Senior-Level Pharmacy Technician)
Location: Onsite in medical clinic (cubical setting)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (PM & Weekend shifts available)
Start Dates: September 2, September 8, September 22
Bonus: Eligible for 15% annual performance bonus
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Liaison plays a critical role in supporting medication adherence and coordination between patients, providers, and the specialty pharmacy. As the direct point of contact embedded within a clinic setting, this individual ensures patients receive superior care by connecting them to essential pharmacy services and removing barriers to medication access. This is a senior-level pharmacy technician role requiring autonomy, professionalism, and a high level of patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Clinic Integration:

Review messages and medication requests from patients, providers, and the pharmacy

Follow up on pending insurance updates and medication refills
Provider Support:

Resolve insurance denials and recommend solutions

Secure provider signatures and onboard patients to the pharmacy program

Manage refill requests and proactive communication with clinical teams
Patient Engagement:

Schedule deliveries and provide refill reminders

Support patients with co-pay or billing-related concerns

Encourage pharmacy program participation and adherence
Pharmacy Coordination:

Follow up on missed deliveries and incomplete prescriptions

Resolve prescription delays due to missing documentation

Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure seamless care
Training
-
6-week training including remote instruction, shadowing, and system training (EPIC)
Performance Metrics

Prescription refill queue times
-
Timeliness and frequency of patient outreach (timestamp tracked)
Must-Have Qualifications
-
2+ years of prior authorization experience (ideally in a specialty pharmacy, PBM, or retail environment)

National certification (CPhT) via PTCB or NHA

Proficiency in EMRs (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

5+ years of pharmacy technician experience

Previous experience in hospital or specialty clinic settings

Strong time management and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment
