Organization: LxNY, Latinx Arts Consortium of New York

Rate: $40/hr

Status & Hrs: Part-time, 20-25 hours/week

Reports to: LxNY Steering Committee

This position is a hybrid between remote and in-person work, candidate must be based in NYC.

LxNY: the Latinx Arts Consortium of New York is seeking a part-time Project Manager to help steward its mission of supporting and amplifying Latinx arts and culture across New York City. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing network of over 50 member organizations that span disciplines, boroughs, and generations. We are looking for a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, and passionate advocate who thrives in collaborative environments and is deeply invested in the power of the arts to advance cultural equity and systemic change.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit project management or coordination, preferably in arts or cultural organizations

  • Demonstrated success managing timelines, deliverables, and collaborative initiatives in nonprofit or for-profit settings

  • Strong skills in writing, research, strategic planning, and internal/external communication

  • Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, and contributing to fundraising efforts

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including arts organizations, funders, and public officials

  • Experience in writing reports, coordinating proposals, and preparing fundraising or advocacy materials

  • Familiarity with New York’s arts funding landscape and a strong passion for Latinx arts and culture

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar, Gmail, and Groups) and Zoom

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities:

Strategic Management

  • Collaborate with the Steering Committee to develop, articulate, and implement LxNY’s mission and long-term vision

  • Lead strategic planning and ensure alignment of programs and initiatives with LxNY’s values and goals

  • Identify opportunities for network growth and cultivate relationships with new Latinx-serving arts organizations

  • Build and strengthen a cohesive, engaged consortium of 50+ member organizations across New York City

  • Serve as a public-facing representative of LxNY in strategic conversations with cultural institutions, policymakers, and funders

Event Coordination

  • Plan and execute quarterly in-person events, online meetings, happy hours, and quarterly workshops

  • Manage event logistics including venue booking, tech setup, catering, supplies, and scheduling

  • Coordinate support from vendors, volunteers, and Steering Committee members as needed

  • Send invitations, manage RSVPs, and handle post-event follow-up with attendees

  • Maintain and update contact lists of network members and participants

  • Serve as the main point of contact for event communications and participant inquiries

Program Development

  • Collaborate with the Steering Committee to develop event agendas and thematic focus

  • Identify and coordinate speakers, facilitators, and panelists for events and workshops

  • Ensure programming aligns with LxNY’s mission and supports network goals

Documentation & Evaluation

  • Track attendance, engagement, and collect participant feedback for events

  • Maintain organized records of event materials, including agendas, recordings, and resources

  • Create post-event reports or summaries to share with the Steering Committee and network

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage event and project budgets in coordination with the Steering Committee

  • Assist with grant reporting and contribute to fundraising strategies when applicable

Compensation & Schedule:

  • 20 - 25 hours a week

  • The rate for this position is $40/hr

  • This position is a hybrid between remote and in-person work, candidate must be based in NYC

  • Hours are mainly weekday mornings and some weekday evenings to assist programs & LxNY events

  • 3 months contract with a potential 6-9 months extension to a Full-Time contract

  • Networking access to a large cohort of Latinx-focused leading NYC organizations
