Packaging Designer
Job Summary:
Gina Group is looking for Packaging Designer to join our team who has a passion for creating packaging for our accessory department. They will be responsible for creating, developing, and finalizing packaging concepts specifically for accessories, and seasonal gift sets. This role requires a strong understanding of dielines, structure, branding, and retail presentation, as well as experience working with factories to ensure production-ready files.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative, on-brand packaging for accessory products across various categories.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand and retailer requirements.
- Create dielines and production-ready files for a wide range of packaging formats (hangtags, gift boxes, blister packs, bellybands, header cards, etc.).
- Enhance existing packaging by refining verbiage to better align with product specifications and buyer requests.
- Experience working with international vendors/factories to manage packaging development and approvals.
- Maintain and manage packaging assets, templates, and style guides.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and competitive packaging in the market.
- Prepare mockups and packaging comps for internal and client presentations.
- Ensure packaging meets all structural, aesthetic, and compliance standards.
- Explore innovative packaging solutions through market research and trend analysis.
- Work alongside licensors as necessary.
- Ensure accuracy of all packaging including copy and placement.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in packaging design, with a strong portfolio focused on accessories or fashion/lifestyle products.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of dielines, materials, print production, and packaging engineering.
- Experience in packaging design within retailer brand guidelines (e.g., Target, Walmart, TJX, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or related field.

NY Pay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is ($65,000 – $70,000) annually based on skills and experience.
