Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled X-ray Technologist seeking to apply expertise in radiographic imaging within a dynamic healthcare setting. The role focuses on capturing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort, utilizing advanced X-ray equipment and adhering to strict protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identity and physician orders prior to imaging procedures
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs
- Clearly explain examination procedures and address patient inquiries
- Position patients, including those with limited mobility, safely and effectively
- Maintain patient dose at the lowest possible level through proper equipment handling
- Monitor patient status and adapt techniques to age-specific needs
- Ensure accurate image labeling and transmission to the PACS system
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions to management
- Utilize electronic systems for patient information verification and documentation
- Adhere to the Dual patient identifier procedure to enhance safety
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training and ARRT certification
- Current or attainable state license prior to starting
- Minimum 2 years experience as an X-ray Technologist, with Level 1 trauma center exposure preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficient in operating c-arm/o-arm equipment within the last 8 months
- Strong physical ability to assist patients and stand for extended periods
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated compassion and teamwork orientation
- Availability to respond to on-call shifts within 30 minutes
