Job Title: Laboratory Technician I
Job Summary: The laboratory Technician position performs daily lab operations through the preparation, sterilization, and organization of lab materials and equipment.
- Plans and organizes daily workload independently and in coordination with team members to meet production goals efficiently.
- Prepares materials for sterilization and cleans reusable laboratory materials, including glassware, glass tubes, and Morton caps, to prepare for media and lab use.
- Maintains overall lab cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Prepares and sets up various lab supplies and tools to support daily procedures and technician workflows.
- Reads, interprets, and accurately records test results, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.
- Adheres strictly to laboratory quality control protocols, company policies, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
- Responsible for the aseptic preparation and filling of microbiological culture media in a semi-cleanroom environment, ensuring sterility and product quality. Duties include operating filling equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, managing inventory of sterilized materials, and inspecting finished products post-sterility hold for contamination.

Preferred Experience:
- Associate degree or 1+ years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a laboratory operation or technical/scientific field, and basic computer competency is required.
- Some knowledge of aseptic laboratory techniques, and microscope familiarity is preferred
- Requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, well-focused, sense of urgency, good work ethic, and ability to function as part of a team.
