We’re currently seeking a dependable and self-motivated Part-Time Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized environment across our two facilities on Teall Avenue and in Kirkville.


Whether you prefer early mornings or late afternoons, we offer flexible scheduling to support your work-life balance. This role is perfect for someone looking to make a real impact behind the scenes while keeping operations running smoothly.


What You’ll Do

As a Janitor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and professionalism of our facilities. You’ll work independently across two locations, ensuring workspaces are spotless, restrooms are stocked, and common areas feel welcoming for employees and visitors alike.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing
  • Disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces in restrooms, breakrooms, kitchens, and offices
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and remove waste to designated disposal areas
  • Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, stairwells, entrances, and conference rooms
  • Deep clean or scrub floors as needed using appropriate equipment
  • Monitor supply inventory and restock janitorial closets with necessary items
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety and manufacturer guidelines
  • Report any repair or maintenance issues (lighting, leaks, etc.)
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
  • Keep janitorial tools, carts, and closets clean and organized

Requirements:

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Early shift options starting as early as 6:00 AM
  • Evening hours are available for minimal disruption to daily operations
  • Flexible hours to accommodate school, family, or another job
  • Approximately 25 hours per week, with potential for more based on needs

What You Bring

  • Prior janitorial, cleaning, or custodial experience preferred (but not required)
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple facilities
  • Reliable transportation to commute between Teall Avenue and Kirkville locations
  • Good communication and willingness to report supply or repair needs
  • Strong work ethic and pride in keeping spaces clean and safe

Physical Requirements of Job

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Frequent walking, bending, pushing, and lifting throughout your shift
  • Prolonged periods of standing or moving between areas
  • Ability to use standard janitorial equipment safely (vacuums, floor machines, etc.)
  • Occasional climbing or maneuvering around tight spaces
