Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting pharmacists with the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy. This role requires a Texas CPHT License or Trainee Certificate.
Pay Rate: $24 to 25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions for patients.
- Accurately label medications and ensure that all prescription and medication information is recorded correctly.
- Provide patient education and guidance on medication usage as directed by the pharmacist.
- Maintain inventory, ensuring medications and supplies are stocked and organized.
- Perform routine pharmacy tasks such as checking for expired medications and restocking supplies.
- Work effectively with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Follow all pharmacy guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain a high standard of practice.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a Texas CPHT License or Trainee Certificate.
- Must be able to work alternating weekends.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Ability to handle medication and patient information confidentially.
Education/Licenses Needed:
- Texas License or Trainee Certificate required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
