Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support young learners in an early childhood educational setting specializing in special education. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and other educators to promote student progress
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior
- Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with early childhood learners in a special education context
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of current special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and support social-emotional development
