Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Iron Worker to join our team for field fabrication and installation of miscellaneous and small structural steel. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced in reading drawings, rigging, welding, and performing on-site installations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation of stairs, railings, beams, columns, and other steel components
- Conduct field fabrication, cutting, and fitting as required
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret shop and erection drawings
- Work independently or as part of a crew to complete installations to specification
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to all site safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Must hold valid NYC DOB licenses (Site Safety, Welder, or equivalent)
- OSHA 30-hour training certification required
- Additional fire watch (F-60/G-60) or welding certifications (AWS) a plus
- Strong knowledge of steel erection, welding, and field measurements
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
- Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
