Hours: Full-time, Exempt

Position Overview:

The Community School Director (CSD) is a key member of the school’s leadership team, responsible for building strong partnerships between the school, families, community organizations, and Replications, Inc. The CSD drives initiatives to improve attendance, parent engagement, and student support services, while managing partnerships, enrichment activities, and community outreach.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with administration, staff, families, and community partners.
  • Coordinate all school-based partnerships, programs, and services.
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and guide the development of the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP).
  • Implement evidence-based practices that address the needs of students and their families.
  • Lead attendance improvement strategies and monitor the impact of interventions.
  • Manage CBO partnerships, including recruitment, supervision, and evaluation.
  • Plan and facilitate parent engagement activities, workshops, and forums.
  • Develop communication strategies to increase school visibility and branding.
  • Support school leadership teams (SLT/CST) and participate in school planning meetings.
  • Ensure effective referral and tracking systems for school-based programs and services.
  • Oversee program schedules, community events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, and reporting for school-funded activities.
  • Foster a growth mindset culture throughout the school community.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices in community school development.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in speaking and writing Spanish is required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with school-based programs, community partnerships, and student support services.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage budgets effectively, and handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
