The Entry‐Level Field Service Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical imaging equipment in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. This role is ideal for candidates early in their technical careers who are eager to learn, grow, and gain hands‐on experience with diagnostic imaging systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installation, calibration, and repair of imaging systems
- Perform basic preventive maintenance under supervision
- Troubleshoot simple mechanical, electrical, or software issues with guidance
- Document service activities including parts used and work performed
- Support customer training by helping demonstrate basic equipment functions
- Follow safety protocols related to electrical systems and radiation‐controlled areas
- Participate in OEM and internal training programs to build technical expertise
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, or computer hardware
- Strong willingness to learn complex imaging technologies
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment
- On‐site work in hospitals, clinics and Veterinary facilities
- Training provided through shadowing, classroom instruction, and OEM courses
- May require lifting equipment, working in tight spaces, or occasional after‐hours support
