We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable Personal Trainer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a fitness professional who is passionate about helping people of all ages and fitness levels—from athletes to seniors—achieve long-term health through personalized exercise and dietary programming. This position requires travel to some client homes, as well as training in-studio. If you're client-focused, results-driven, and thrive in dynamic environments, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver customized fitness and nutrition programs tailored to each client's goals, health status, and lifestyle.
- Travel to clients' homes or designated locations for private training sessions (must have reliable transportation).
- Train clients of all ages and backgrounds, including:
- Youth and teens (sports-specific, general fitness)
- Adults (general health, weight loss, strength training)
- Seniors (mobility, balance, injury prevention)
- Athletes (sport-specific conditioning, performance training)
- Conduct initial consultations and regular assessments to track progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Provide guidance on basic nutrition, portion control, meal timing, and healthy habits (within personal trainer scope).
- Ensure clients are using proper form and technique to prevent injury and maximize effectiveness.
- Motivate and hold clients accountable to their goals while building lasting relationships.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with clients regarding scheduling, progress, and programming updates.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including goals, assessments, and programming details.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Trainer through a recognized organization (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, etc.).
- CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain).
- Certification or coursework in nutrition coaching or sports nutrition is a strong plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience training a diverse population, including youth, seniors, and athletes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different environments.
- Organized, punctual, and professional.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's in Exercise Science/Kinesiology preferred.
- Nutrition or dietician coursework or certification preferred.
- Internship or work experience with athletes at any level.
- Boxing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of functional training, injury prevention, and corrective exercise.
- Experience with small group training.
- Sales or client acquisition experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Excel & fitness/nutrition apps or tools for programming and progress tracking.
Compensation:
- $25-$40/hour
- Additional compensation for session's at client's homes.
- Potential bonuses or incentives based on client retention or performance
Schedule & Travel:
- Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
- Able to commute to gym in White Plains.
- Travel within Westchester County to clients homes.
