Job DescriptionEstimator Estimator

Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project blueprints, specifications, and other related documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for various construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are financially viable and completed on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to create detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals for commercial construction and public works projects.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Monitor project costs and provide updates to management as necessary.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with commercial construction, public works, luxury homes, and retail projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
