Job DescriptionDescriptionWe are currently looking for a Part-Time Nanny in South Setauket, NY (11720)

A wonderful family near the Stony Brook Campus is seeking a Part-Time Nanny for their 6 month old child. Care will be needed from 8am to 5pm, 3 days per week: Monday and Tuesday, as well as Wednesday or Thursday depending on the candidate's availability.

The ideal candidate is a sitter experienced with infants that will be playful, engaged, and creative.

• Schedule:
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday or Thursday (based on candidate preference)
    • 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Start date: ASAP
• End Date: Long Term
• Rate: $25-30/hr

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for one infant, including feeding, diaper changes, following naptime routines and schedules
• Create and engage in age-appropriate activities geared toward development including: activities out of the home such as walking or library visits, sensory activities, crafts, etc.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the child at all times
• Perform light housekeeping duties during naps, such as washing bottles/dishes, handling baby laundry, and tidying up toys and common areas
• Occasionally drive the child to and from various activities

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 2+ years of paid, professional infant experience
• Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Has valid driver’s license, own reliable transportation, driver’s insurance, and clean driving record
• Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
• Comfortable with the family’s friendly dogs
• Bilingual Spanish/English speaking is a plus!

CompensationThis position pays $25 - 30 per hour, and the family is looking for 27 hours of care per week.
