Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Contract Position
An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students in a New York setting. This role, available in Plattsburgh, NY, is ideal for those who are passionate about helping children overcome speech and language challenges while fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of a mixed caseload of 60 students.
- Provide direct therapy services either virtually or on-site, using evidence-based practices to enhance student outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired goals.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in speech-language pathology and educational techniques.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Valid New York State license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
