Scope of Position: The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of on-site programming, ensuring that services are client-driven and aligned with organizational goals. This role includes supervising staff, fostering a supportive environment that acknowledges and responds to the impact of trauma on behavior, and promoting the use of effective crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques. The Program Director will ensure that all programming meets funder requirements, motivates the team to deliver high-quality services, and drives continuous improvement. Essential Position Functions:
- Supervise Case Managers and program staff, overseeing client service delivery from admission to discharge.
- Prepare for audits and reviews; complete monthly data collection on services, census, attendance, incidents, and funder outcomes.
- Be available for 24-hour crisis intervention and attend meetings, including nights/weekends as needed.
- Manage personnel activities, including hiring, scheduling, policy development, meetings, training, evaluations, discipline, and labor issues.
- Handle administrative duties such as data entry, performance monitoring, petty cash, and staff attendance.
- Assess and manage building maintenance needs and liaise with maintenance staff for repairs and facility management.
- Collaborate with the Property Management & Maintenance Department to ensure compliance.
- Attend required staff meetings, supervision, and trainings.
- Work respectfully with consumers, families, and staff, considering cultural differences.
- Conduct building inspections, use stairs, provide client escorts, and attend off-site meetings/training.
- Report serious incidents and sensitive situations immediately to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requirements:
- MSW or Master’s in a related field.
- Experience in mental health, crisis intervention, and managing trauma-triggered behavior.
- Excellent time management, stress resistance, flexibility, strong team player, open to feedback, and creative problem-solving.
- Willing to perform CPR, First Aid, AED, Crisis Intervention, and Naloxone administration.
- Experience supervising clinical and operational staff.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred knowledge of AWARDS.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
