A wonderful regional hospital near Syracuse, NY is looking for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist! Seeking permanent, full-time position. Details are below:
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist pay range: $38.40 - $57.73 an hour!
- Schedule: 3x12, Day Shift (7 AM - 7 PM).
- $10,000 Sign-on bonus!
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Opportunity:
- Administer radioactive substances to patients either intravenously, orally, or via other routes, depending on the procedure. These radiopharmaceuticals emit radiation that can be captured by imaging equipment
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist will also position the patient correctly for imaging and operate the PET scanner to capture detailed images of the body; this includes adjusting settings on the PET scanner to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:
- Primary certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) OR registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine
- Must also possess or be eligible for secondary certification in Computed Tomography by ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) within six months of hire
- One year of experience in PET/CT
- Minimum two years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, equivalent education/experience
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of New York with CT registry by the ARRT or NMTCB per NYS Department of Health
