The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in driving operational excellence and expanding G&Gs manufacturing capabilities. This is a hands-on opportunity to join a fast-growing, innovative team where your ideas and actions directly impact our production efficiency, quality, and long-term growth.

You balance strategic vision with hands-on executiondesigning and fabricating solutions, optimizing workstations, and leading initiatives that drive lasting improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
You will play a pivotal role in advancing G&Gs journey toward continuous single-piece flow, helping shape the systems, processes, and culture needed to achieve seamless, waste-free production across the plant.

Salary: $110,000-$135,000
What roles am I accountable for?
1. Manufacturing Engineering (50%)
- Help define and execute the long-term manufacturing strategy to improve safety, capacity, reliability, and cost performance.
- Lead the implementation of process optimization and capacity increase initiatives for existing and future production areas.
- Contributor to the generation and maintenance of standardized work; support the administration of manufacturing documents in the plant.
- Develop manufacturing & assembly processes that yield products compliant to internal, customer, and industry requirements (design, implement and construct tooling / equipment to support these processes).
- Provide subject matter expert leadership for the efficient operation and maintenance of the SMT production process.
2. Continuous Improvement (20%)
- Lead the planning & execution of continuous improvement projects to increase productivity & reduce manufacturing costs (e.g. cycle time reduction, line balancing, waste elimination, process flow optimization, workstation & layout design, visual management, 5S, TPM, etc.).
- Contributor to teaching, mentoring and training shop floor teams in continuous improvement and lean strategies and concepts.
- Use data and floor observations to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, translating findings into actionable process changes.
3. Process Engineering (20%)
- Contribute to the process for pre-production & production trial runs for new product / process introduction; own the process for approval and implementation of process changes in the shop floor.
- Lead the process for evaluation, selection and purchase or fabrication of manufacturing and test equipment.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve consistency, quality, and throughput. Manage equipment commissioning and production ramp-up.
4. Team G&G (10%)
- Work cross functionally with other teams & functions of the organization to solve problems and drive solutions.
- Work with operations staff to train and develop new skills and competencies.
- Act as a coach and technical resource to the manufacturing team, building skills and confidence across the shop floor.

Success in this role is measurably improving production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Success in this role also includes demonstrating strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that build trust with the team and drive continuous improvement.
Key Measurables:
- Increased production efficiency: Measured by metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, and cycle time.
- Reduced costs: Including lower manufacturing cost per unit, reduced scrap rates, and identified cost savings from process improvements.
- Enhanced product quality: Reflected in higher First Pass Yield (FPY), lower defect density, and reduced customer returns.

What will I need to succeed?

- A bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering or demonstrated deep understanding of core engineering principles, materials science, and production processes.
- Experience working in an hand assembly environment is essential- optimizing workstation setup, material flow, and ergonomics
- Practitioner of formal problem-solving methodologies. You must be able to think critically to identify the root cause of an issue and develop an effective, logical solution.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD 3D, or CATIA, is essential for designing, modifying, and analyzing parts, equipment, and entire factory layouts.
- Adaptability to ever evolving new technologies and methodologies and flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to change.
- Hands-on experience applying theoretical knowledge in real-world settings is critical.
- Hands on experience with fabrication and construction of tools and equipment utilizing various materials of construction.
- Preferred: Direct experience with Surface Mount Technology manufacturing or working knowledge with capability and willingness to develop into subject matter expertise is desirable.
