Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, with a focus on medical malpractice and personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a passion for advocating for clients' rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases, primarily focusing on medical malpractice and personal injury claims.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support client cases.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes when appropriate.
- Prepare and present cases in court, effectively communicating legal arguments and evidence.
- Maintain client relationships by providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to enhance case strategies and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Jurisdictional license to practice law as a Civil Litigation Attorney.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
- Strong analytical and research skills to effectively build and support case arguments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly.
- Proven negotiating skills with experience in settlement discussions and court proceedings.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
