Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is suited for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist with experience in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, and school settings. The position serves a K-12 school environment in Binghamton, NY, focusing on students with mild to severe disabilities including autism, cognitive delays, emotional disturbances, and Down syndrome. The role provides a rich professional setting for delivering services to diverse caseloads, supporting students' communication skills and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Design and implement therapy plans tailored to students with various disabilities.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to support student progress.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques alongside traditional therapy methods as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports compliant with state and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.
- Active TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities) Certification.
- Experience or training in working with students with special needs including autism and emotional disturbance.
- Demonstrated skill in both teletherapy and onsite therapy delivery methods.
- Commitment to working within a school system serving a diverse student population.
