Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Certified Home Health Agency

A well-established and steadily growing Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) in Brooklyn is seeking dedicated Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join their expanding therapy team. This is a direct-hire position with a reputable organization offering comprehensive benefits, strong support, and long-term opportunities for growth.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes. You will help patients improve mobility, strength, functional independence, and overall quality of life.

You will be assigned to one borough only (Brooklyn, Bronx, or Queens), based on your preference.

No cross-borough travel is required.

Mileage reimbursement is offered for all home visits.

A reliable vehicle is required for traveling between patient homes.

We welcome new graduates and experienced PTAs interested in home care. Training and support are provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide home-based therapeutic exercises and interventions
  • Assist patients with strength, mobility, gait, and functional training
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety
  • Document visits accurately and in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Active New York State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
