Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery according to established schedules.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Completes repairs and replacements of defective parts, components, or systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Conducts inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues and address them proactively.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.
- Adheres to safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborates with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Responds to maintenance emergencies and prioritizes tasks based on urgency and criticality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field required.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
