A K-12 school in the Port Jervis, NY area is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Contract School Year (CSY) position. This opportunity arises due to the recent notice that a full-time SLP will be departing before the upcoming school year, creating an immediate need for qualified coverage. The position offers a chance to work with diverse disabilities and provide essential speech and language services across the full K-12 spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments for students.
- Deliver individual and small group therapy sessions focused on pediatric populations.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and parents to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate progress records and ensure compliance with educational standards.
- Provide consultation and recommendations tailored to student needs.
- Manage a caseload with various types of disabilities, supporting full communication access.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- New York Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with pediatric clients.
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion or equivalent experience.
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and organizational skills.

Schedule: Full-time with potential for part-time flexibility
