We are seeking a personable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Resident Onboarding Coordinator to support the lease-up and stabilization of a newly opened residential building in Far Rockaway, Queens. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new residents while maintaining compliance with affordable housing and voucher program requirements.
The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, bilingual, and has extensive hands-on experience with housing voucher programs, including CityFHEPS and NYCHA Section 8.

Key Responsibilities
Tenant Interviews & Application Review
Conduct in-person and/or virtual interviews with prospective tenants
Review rental applications, supporting documentation, and eligibility materials
Assess applicant suitability in accordance with building guidelines and program rules
Serve as a primary point of contact for applicants throughout the approval process
Voucher Program Expertise (Required)
Manage and process applications involving CityFHEPS, NYCHA Section 8, and other subsidy programs
Ensure full compliance with HRA, HPD, and NYCHA requirements
Coordinate with caseworkers, housing specialists, and agencies to resolve issues and expedite approvals
Track documentation, deadlines, and subsidy statuses to avoid delays
Lease Approval & Coordination
Communicate closely with the property management team to obtain lease approvals
Prepare and coordinate lease execution once approvals are granted
Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and compliant prior to move-in
Resident Onboarding & Move-In
Distribute key fobs, access credentials, and building information to new residents
Assist residents with setup and onboarding into the building’s management app for:
Maintenance requests
Rent payments
Resident communications
Provide a thorough orientation to building policies, amenities, and expectations
Daily Operations & On-Site Coordination
Work closely with the on-site superintendent to address resident needs and move-in logistics
Maintain consistent communication with the management company regarding resident issues, building operations, and occupancy status
Support a positive, organized, and respectful living environment
