Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent will oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of ground-up construction projects, ensuring that all installations and systems are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role focuses on multi-family and affordable housing projects, making strong leadership and management skills essential for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all MEP construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to schedule and manage MEP installations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all MEP activities, including daily logs, RFI responses, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and trade workers on best practices in MEP installation and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent in ground-up construction projects, preferably in multi-family and affordable housing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their installation processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with strong organizational skills.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or MEP trades are a plus.
