Job Title: Speech Therapist

Employment Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $55-$60 per hour

Your Role as a Speech Therapist:
- Deliver Individualized Therapy – Provide both individual and group speech-language therapy tailored to meet the unique communication and developmental needs of each student.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments – Evaluate students' functional levels in areas such as language acquisition, articulation, oral motor skills, and feeding. Provide detailed written reports with identified needs and treatment strategies.
- Support Educational Teams – Collaborate with educators and therapists to model and facilitate the use of oral motor techniques, visuals, and language strategies. Help create a consistent, supportive communication environment across settings.
- Work Collaboratively – Serve as an active member of an interdisciplinary team. Participate in regular meetings, share insights, and contribute to whole-child approaches to care.
- Engage with Families – Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to share progress, provide strategies, and support home-school consistency.
- Support Professional Practice & Compliance – Attend staff development and continuing education programs to stay current. Use universal precautions, ensure student safety, and participate in IEP meetings and hearings when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
