Position: Architectural Designer /AutoCAD Drafter (Entry Level)

Type: Independent Contractor Agreement (1-year term with possible extensions)

Start Date: Immediately

Location: The Helmsley Building, 230 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10169 (next to GCT)

Expected Availability: Monday to Friday

Time: 8:30am-5:30pm (includes a lunch hour which is not billable time)

Compensation: $20-$25/hour (depending on work experience)

Scope of Work and Responsibilities:

• Preparing 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Preparing various reports related to façade inspections.
• Conducting building façade inspections / attending job-site visits.
• Preparing meeting minutes / field reports.
• Communicating with clients, contractors, and vendors via email and calls.
• Using Microsoft Teams for primary communication.
• Utilizing task management software (e.g., Monday.com) to track assignments.
• Using Microsoft Outlook for emails and scheduling.

Qualifications (must haves):

• Bachelors in Architecture or equivalent education.
• Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD LT
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (A/E/C) industry.

Qualifications (great to have):

• Bluebeam
• Field Wire
• Adobe Indesign

Contractor Compensation & Provisions:

• Non-Working Days (8 Days Accounted for in Contract Rates):
  1. New Year’s Day
  2. Memorial Day
  3. Independence Day
  4. Labor Day
  5. Thanksgiving Day
  6. Day After Thanksgiving
  7. Christmas Day
  8. Day Before or After Christmas (as designated)
• Performance-Based Incentives: Eligible for performance-based bonuses twice per year, subject to contract terms.
