The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, including litigation, counseling, and compliance matters. Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in employment law, including litigation and advisory work
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters with a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Client-focused approach with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and contract disputes
- Provide counsel on day-to-day employment law issues, including hiring, termination, workplace policies, accommodations, and compliance
- Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise on risk management strategies
- Stay current on changes in employment law and provide proactive updates to clients
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions
