Bridge Project Manager – Albany, NY
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Bridge Project Manager to join its Albany office. This is a senior-level role responsible for managing bridge projects, client relationships, and business development initiatives while providing technical leadership on complex transportation infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be both a proven technical expert in bridge engineering and a strong leader with demonstrated experience managing projects, winning work, and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all phases of assigned bridge design and rehabilitation projects
- Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction
- Lead and participate in business development efforts, including client meetings, proposal development, and presentations
- Provide technical expertise in bridge engineering, including design, analysis, reporting, and specification preparation
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships across New York State, particularly with transportation agencies and municipalities
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical and professional growth of the bridge team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus)
- PE license required
- 15+ years of progressive bridge engineering and project management experience
- Experience delivering projects for NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Federal Aid programs
- Established client relationships within the New York transportation sector
- Proven track record in business development, proposal preparation, and project pursuits
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills; ability to represent the firm at a senior level
- Excellent project management expertise, with knowledge of industry-standard processes and tools
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive alary range: $107,000 – $145,000
