Service Tech - Commercial Kitchen Ventilation and Controls

$2,500 Sign-on Bonus

North Jersey area to New York - Our shop is located in Moonachie, but we have a lot of work in the NYC area. We are open to having a remote crew in New York, but you must be prepared to report to the shop for materials when needed.

We will pay for the experience!!!! Starting wage will vary depending on experience up to $40/hour

This position is similar to HVAC but is not HVAC. We move air through various systems, but no heating or cooling is involved. Anybody who is in HVAC, Commercial refrigeration, or related services, please apply.

Hood – kitchen hood cleaning, technical services, and repair
Fire – Fire protection & suppression systems
Grease – grease trap cleaning and line jetting

Your Typical Day

Perform general maintenance on hood ventilators and company equipment
Troubleshoot and repair ventilation systems and rooftop units
Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs or adjustments to mechanical and electronic controls
Provide exceptional customer service while proudly representing NELBUD

What Will You Bring?

Strong electrical background is required - the ability to troubleshoot and understand electrical meters in a commercial setting is a MUST!!
Knowledge of PLC Programming, troubleshooting, and experience with integrated control systems
Experience of BacNet ventilation and airflow systems - preferred but not necessary
Valid driver’s license – company truck provided
Ability to work a variety of shifts - morning, afternoon
Ability to access and tolerate small spaces and work in high places
