seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide

essential support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With a

critical city-wide shortage of related service providers, your expertise is urgently

needed to help students overcome communication barriers and achieve academic

success. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact, working with students with

diverse communication needs in school-based settings.


As an SLP with Knowledge Road, you will have the autonomy to deliver individualized

therapy using evidence-based practices, working collaboratively with school teams

and families to support student communication development.

Responsibilities


As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Knowledge Road, you will:

  • Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in

both individual and group settings, as mandated by their Individualized

Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).

Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech,

language, voice, and fluency disorders.

  • Develop and implement creative and effective treatment plans tailored to the

unique needs of each student.

  • Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other school professionals to

create a holistic and supportive learning environment.

  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and

outcomes in compliance with DOE and Knowledge Road standards.

  • Actively participate in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert insights and

recommendations to guide student progress.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Current NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-

  • Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school-based setting.

  • Proficiency with electronic documentation and teletherapy platforms.

  • NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to obtain prior

to start.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, school-day position in Bronx with a schedule that follows the NYC DOE

calendar. You will be providing services on-site at one or more schools in Queens, with

specific assignments based on student needs. Hours/week are driven by IESP/IEP

mandates; caseload may vary by assignment. Typically ~20-30 hours/week depending

on placements.

Compensation

This 1099 contractor role pays a tiered hourly rate based on group size from $63-$126/hr.
