Job DescriptionSalary: $25-$30/hr or competitive salary, depending on experience
Responsible for designing, planting and maintaining flower gardens and containers, annual and perennial beds and herb and vegetable gardens.
Responsibilities:
- Extensive knowledge of plants and growing conditions and requirements
- Familiarity with pests and diseases
- Attention to detail to meet Oceanview standards
- Bulk order plants in early spring
- Familiarity of local and non local vendors
- Ability to design perennial and annual plant beds
- Organizational skills and ability to manage and schedule maintenance route
- Client communication and upsell opportunities
- Estimate time and material for flower pot and garden planting
Qualification:
- Proven experience in vegetable gardening or horticulture.
- Strong knowledge of organic & horticultural techniques, soil health, and plant care.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to handle labor-intensive tasks (lifting, bending, digging).
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture and a love of nature.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
