Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN - Nurse Educator to support the Nursing Inservice Education Department. The ideal candidate will bring a solid clinical background and a strong foundation in med/surg nursing to assist with staff development and training. This role is being offered to cover a temporary leave of absence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and conduct clinical education sessions for nursing staff
- Support onboarding and continuing education of nurses
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess training needs
- Assist in developing competency-based education programs
- Monitor, evaluate, and document clinical skills performance
Skills:
- 2+ years of medical-surgical (med/surg) nursing experience
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to teach hands-on nursing techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to assess learning needs and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Previous experience in clinical education or staff training is a plus
