Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled CT Technologist to apply expertise in imaging within a well-organized clinical environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services by collaborating closely with physicians and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with physicians to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explaining procedures clearly to ease any anxiety.
- Perform IV insertions when necessary for specific tests.
- Position and assist patients safely, including those with limited mobility, using proper patient handling techniques.
- Ensure accurate documentation within the electronic health record system, including image identification and proper transmission to the PACS system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient scanning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- New York State licensure obtained prior to starting.
- Minimum of two years experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Preferred injection certification (willingness to complete during orientation).
- Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment is a plus.
