Seeking live-in superintendent for Chelsea properties consisting of 43 total units across three buildings. Duties will include:
· Performing routine janitorial work, including cleaning and inspecting the roofs, boiler rooms, and public portions of the buildings.
· Taking care of the garbage and recycling on designated days.
· Snow removal when necessary.
· Coordinating access with landlord’s workmen and third-party contractors.
· Monitoring resident repair requests and responding within prescribed guidelines.
Candidates should be able to perform light maintenance work, such as replacing washers, installing smoke alarms, and adjusting pilot lights, etc. Superintendents are expected to be on call for emergencies. The routine janitorial work should take approximately 15 hours per week. Compensation will be $350 per week, plus the use of an apartment. There will also be opportunity for additional handyman work paid at $20 per hour.
