Summary
Sophisticated, luxury apartment complex located on the Hudson River in Nyack, New York is seeking a Doorman/Concierge to work 2nd shift (3:00-10:00 pm Monday-Friday). Hospitality and customer service skills from previously working in the fields of residential properties, retail or other hospitality-based position(s) are a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors while ensuring the safety and security of the premises. The person who fills this role is expected to be courteous and professional at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
§ Welcome all visitors, tenants and guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance as needed
§ Monitor lobby traffic and alert residents to arriving guests and deliveries
§ Monitor CCTV and alarm systems for security and safety concerns, and report any suspicious or emergent situations to management and/or the appropriate authorities
§ Keep track of apartment and building keys
§ Provide access to and lock building areas at various times of day (e.g., garage doors/laundry rooms)
§ Assist tenants in lockout situations
§ Ensure that all fire and safety protocols are followed
§ Coordinate the handling of packages and monitor other deliveries (food, prescriptions, dry cleaning)
§ Enter work orders called in by tenants into building software system
§ Keep track of extermination requests; communicate same to exterminator
§ Keep the premises clean and tidy

Requirements
§ High school diploma or equivalent required
§ Must look professional and display a positive attitude
§ Strong interpersonal skills, as this job requires frequent interaction and communication with building residents and guests
§ Understands customer service; prior customer service experience is a plus
§ Must be reliable, highly organized and show attention to detail
§ Basic computer skills
§ Communicate to management in a timely manner
§ Able to lift 30 pounds
§ Eager to learn and take on responsibility
§ Excellent verbal and writing skills
Job Type
§ Full-time 2nd shift (3:00-10:00 p.m. Monday-Friday)
