We are a fast-paced litigation firm serving clients in the Greater NYC area. Our offices are located in midtown and we are looking for someone who can work part-time in the office. We value efficiency, accuracy, and strong internal systems. We are seeking a reliable Mail Clerk to support daily mail operations and ensure smooth internal workflow. This role is ideal for students considering law school and typically runs six months to one year.
Position Overview
The Mail Clerk is responsible for scanning, saving, and distributing incoming mail and supporting the firm's electronic filing and document management processes.
Key Responsibilities
Mail and Document Handling
• Receive, sort, and scan incoming mail
• Upload and properly save documents in the firm's document management system, such as NetDocuments
• Distribute scanned mail electronically using Outlook and internal routing procedures
• Assist with basic data entry and document profiling
• Maintain organized physical and electronic files
Required Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Reliable and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
• Current college student, preferably a student with interest in law school
• Prior clerical or administrative experience is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with document management systems is a plus but not required
