What You'll Do

Employment Trainer Help the people we support achieve success in their jobs by providing hands-on training, advocacy, and ongoing support. This role focuses on skill-building, workplace integration, and fostering independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Train the people we support to meet job expectations and develop workplace skills.
  • Advocate for inclusion, integration, and productivity in the workplace.
  • Offer supportive counseling to address social and job-related concerns.
  • Assist with job development to match employment goals and skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Collaborate with agency staff to prepare individuals for community employment.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to be certified in all required trainings.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • One-year experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED (now called TASC)
