Electrical Engineer
MEP- Electrical Engineering Design- MEP Engineering
A multi-disciplinary MEP engineering firm based in Manhattan, NYC is actively seeking to add an Electrical Engineer to the organization for a full-time permanent staff opportunity. In this role you will collaborate closely with senior engineers in designing electrical systems and construction documentation across various commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Opportunities currently exist at the middle and senior levels (EIT or PE) with duties commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and specifications for assigned projects, (i.e. power distribution, lighting & lighting control systems, fire detection systems) design layouts, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations etc.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, details, schedules, equipment specifications, and associated reports
• Develop electrical design plans and schematics for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and national code regulations
• Conducted load calculations to optimize system performance to layout single line diagrams and organize power system architecture based on NEC and IBC requirements
• Integrate electrical systems into multi-disciplinary designs
• Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs improving workflow through the construction administration phases
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design
• Ability to professionally communicate with clients, architects, internal team members, regarding associated projects
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
• Approximately four (4) or more years of electrical MEP engineering experience
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification desired
• Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
• AutoCAD & Revit MEP experience
• Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
