Your Role:
As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to support their goals, independence, and well-being. Your role is essential in creating an environment where every person feels valued and respected.

Location: Children Residential (Huntington & Smithtown)

Pay: Non Driver: $19.00-$20.90 Driver: $21.00-$23.10/hr

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time/Per Diem
Shift Availability: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Overnights, Split Shifts, Weekdays, and Weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist individuals with daily living skills such as personal care, cooking, and housekeeping, and hygiene tasks.

· Support participation in community activities and recreational programs.

· Foster skill-building and encourage independence.

· Administer medications (training provided) and maintain health and safety standards.

· Document daily activities, progress, and any incidents as required.

· Collaborate with a dedicated team to provide consistent, person-centered care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).

· 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a caregiving role.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

· Patience, compassion, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

· Ability to complete and maintain required certifications, including CPR, First Aid, and medication administration (training provided).

· Physical ability to assist individuals with mobility, transfers, and other physical activities as needed.
