Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Clean windows, restrooms, and other areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct minor repairs on equipment and building systems (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry).
- Respond to maintenance requests and fix or report problems promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the facility complies with health and safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections to identify safety hazards and report them to management.
- Waste Management:
- Manage and dispose of waste and recyclables.
- Ensure trash bins are emptied regularly, and waste areas are maintained.
- Stocking and Inventory:
- Order and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that supplies are stocked and readily available for use.
- Security:
- Lock and secure the building at the end of the shift.
- Assist in monitoring the facility to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in facility maintenance, custodial work, carpentry, or a similar role preferred.
- Vehicle and Drivers License: Need to have a valid driver license and vehicle
- Skills
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques.
- Ability to operate machinery and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Regularly required to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in different weather conditions when tasks require it (e.g., snow removal)
- 40 hours per week
- Nights and weekends as needed
