JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a General Manager at The Flatiron Room, you will manage restaurant operations and staff. Responsibilities include planning, directing, training, and leading as necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service & satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and an overall positive company work environment. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials. As the general manager, your role is to ensure that business operations run smoothly and efficiently and are of the highest quality.


GENERAL DUTIES

  • Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on time.
  • Direct and coordinate day-to-day operations, service, menu, restaurant environment, cleanliness standards, food safety, and internal marketing initiatives at the units.
  • Coordinate between all departments for smooth and efficient implementation of food and beverage initiatives, service initiatives, operational updates, and training programs.
  • Direct or coordinate financial or budget activities to increase efficiency.
  • Provide employees leadership, coaching, and motivation to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate open communication with team members to improve organizational efficiencies.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in a management role
  • Be able to communicate and understand English.
  • Know about service, food, and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations.
  • Possess basic math skills and the ability to operate POS and reservation systems.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
