This position offers an excellent opportunity for a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services within a K-12 educational setting. The role is designed for a dedicated professional who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and possesses experience working in healthcare, pediatrics, and school environments. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and is located in Port Jervis, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across K-12 grades
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other allied health professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise
Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP certification required
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology within both healthcare and school settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and intervention strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
