Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled CT Technologist specializing in imaging to support a busy Level 1 Trauma Center. This contract position is based in Pittsford, NY, offering the chance to work with advanced diagnostic equipment in a professional setting.
Responsibilities include verifying patient identity and exam details to ensure safety, coordinating with physicians to provide precise diagnostic imaging, and preparing patients for scans by explaining procedures to help alleviate any discomfort or anxiety. The role requires inserting IVs when necessary and positioning patients carefully, including safely handling those with limited mobility. Accurate documentation within EPIC and timely transmission of images to the PACS system are essential. Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the scanning area is also required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Active Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- New York State licensure obtained before starting the position
- Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably within a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred: injection certification or willingness to complete during orientation
- Preferred: familiarity with Philips and Siemens CT equipment
