Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support student success and well-being. This position involves providing psychological services across multiple schools, requiring some travel within the district.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments to identify students' learning and behavioral needs
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Providing counseling and behavioral interventions as needed
- Consulting with teachers, parents, and administrators to recommend strategies that promote positive learning environments
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to student support services
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with district and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure for School Psychology
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to travel between school sites as required
