Metro PT has an immediate opening for a full-time Construction Project Manager who is interested in working for a growing, dynamic healthcare company. This individual will oversee all phases of construction projects—from initial planning and budgeting to on-site supervision and final project closeout—ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


The construction project manager will manage project planning, execution, and completion, coordinating with various stakeholders and managing resources, budgets, and timelines. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, and they will act as the central point of contact for all construction activities, ensuring effective communication and seamless execution across every phase.


The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment. We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead construction initiatives, solve problems proactively, and drive results that help our company scale. This position will be based out of our HQ in Garden City, NY, with up to 60% local travel required. Must have a reliable mode of transportation to travel between locations!


What You’ll be Doing!

  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Budget Management: Manage project costs, ensuring they stay within the defined budget.
  • Resource Allocation: Determine and secure the necessary resources (personnel, equipment, materials) for the project.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the project meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee and coordinate the activities of subcontractors.
  • On-site Supervision: Monitor construction progress, address on-site issues, and ensure compliance with project plans and regulations.
  • Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Permitting and Compliance: Obtain necessary permits and ensure the project complies with all relevant regulations and codes.

Requirements:

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in construction management and project planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is often preferred
  • Must possess a valid and clean NY driver’s license, and reliable transportation to travel between Metro locations as needed.
